Aerial view of proposals from Wren Academy playing fields towards the Clock Tower

MASTERPLAN

The site was purchased by the Department for Education in 2017. The draft masterplan for this phase of Chase Farm development is shown on this page. The layout has been adapted and improved in response to consultation undertaken with council officers and the Enfield community (during the community engagement undertaken in Spring 2019).

The project team are seeking your feedback on the proposals ahead of submitting the planning applications to Enfield. The plans include;

Although being considered together, there will be one planning application for the schools which will be submitted in full (detailed) whilst the new homes will be in an outline application.  Outline means that the plans are shown in an indicative way in which the site may be developed in the future, in line with the principles developed with planning officers.

The existing site is occupied by various redundant hospital facilities and vacated residential accommodation.
